Let’s talk Curvy Supermodel the Catwalk Challenge
The third episode of Curvy Supermodel has just been broadcasted on television. Although the program gets a lot of criticism ( models are not curvy enough), I have to admit that I’m more than happy that there is finally attention for curvy and plus size girls who would like to work as a model. It’s about time!
As baby steps are taken towards more diversity in general, a program like Curvy Supermodel will definitely help the world to see more possibilities in thinking outside the box. Women have different shapes and sizes and we need to see more of this on television but also in the magazines. Hopefully in the future we don’t need a Curvy edition and the curvy girls can blend in the regular Holland’s Next Top Model competition.
There is not just one kind of beauty, we are all beautiful in our unique way. That doesn’t mean every curvy girl could be a Curvy Supermodel, there’s so much more to it, you have to be professional and you have to make it work no matter what.
You have to represent yourself, and in this third episode of Curvy Supermodel it was all about presentation.
The go see outfit
Keep it clean and simple.
A client want to see the real you. Make sure you wear clothes you feel comfortable in. Today I’m showing you the outfit Veerle Soeters is wearing during ‘The catwalk challenge’. A very simple clean cut look, that’s casual but yet sophisticated when you’re out on a casting.
But not only when your out on a casting. The world is our catwalk so this look is for each and everyone of us. Be your own everyday supermodel. Just think about it: I’m 43 years old and I’m a size 46 eu, nothing can stop you or me from who we want to be. It’s not about size, age or how thick or thin we are, it’s all about confidence and how you represent yourself. Embrace your curves!
